ALTON YOUTH LEAGUE
ABOUT US
The Alton Youth League is a self-funded, non-profit organization that manages and organizes youth baseball and softball in the town of Alton. Alton Youth League is entirely volunteer-based, and is served by members of the Alton community. Each year, more than 100 Alton boys and girls sign up to play ball. No child is turned away for an inability to pay the program fee.
OUR MISSION
- To provide an organized team environment in which our players can engage in responsibility, self-discipline, and accountability.
- To provide a positive, nurturing and safe environment in which our players can learn an appreciation for sportsmanship, teamwork, self esteem, pride, and integrity.
- To instill in the youth of Alton that the winning of games is secondary to the development of teamwork and positive sportsmanship.
